Breakfast with Santa Raises over £400 for FOMH

Sunday 24th November saw the Friends of Mary Howard 2nd Breakfast With Santa.

The morning started with lots of kitchen preparation before we welcomed Santa’s guests and it didn’t take long for people to start on decorating their gingerbread houses, all eager to win the trophy for best decorated!

After our thanks to those who have helped us run this event;

SMITH & ELLIS BUTCHERS, FRADLEY FOR THE DONATION OF PIGS IN BLANKETS,

ASDA FOR FOOD & DRINK DONATIONS,

MORRISONS FOR GIFT VOUCHERS THAT WE PUT TOWARDS FOOD PURCHASES, WARBURTONS FOR BREAD AND TEA CAKE DONATIONS,

STICKY FINGERS FOR FOOD DONATIONS

RENEWAFUEL FOR SPONSORING THE EVENT...

..The children started calling for Santa, who entered the hall with a big HoHoHo and opened the breakfast bar.

Children ate a scrumptious breakfast with some naughty treats thrown in, wrote letters to Santa, made reindeer food, received a beautifully hand knitted Christmas chocolate coin bag and all got to visit Santa receiving the gift of a chocolate advent calendar.

Before we knew it the time had come to judge the gingerbread houses and Mrs Claus was so impressed with all the entries, this made it extremely difficult to pick her winning table! But the decision was made awarding the prestigious trophy to table 9 the ‘Blyth party’ and lots of celebratory photos followed!

Once everyone had eaten their fill and after collecting their gingerbread houses, hats and coats were collected and people began to leave and the 2019 Breakfast with Santa had drawn to an end!

Since the event FOMH have been blown away with the amazing supportive comments people have made and we thank everyone for their support as we couldn’t do it without you! We are now proud to announce that we raised a profit of £430 and this will be put towards the on going playground plans and outside classroom.
